A charming Victorian home built Circa 1880, the Inn at the Shore has been owned by Rosemary and Tom Volker since 1994. The Inn is cheerfully decorated with Victorian antiques (and not-so-antiques), floral fabrics and wall-coverings, ruffled curtains and quilts, teddy bears and angels!

Guests love relaxing in our antique rocking chairs and gliders on our nostalgic wraparound porch drifting back to the NJ shore of yesteryear. The guest living room, equipped with and entertainment center and fieldstone fireplace, is the perfect place to cozy up and watch a video from our collection or listen to soothing music while reading a novel from our library.

Our guest dining area includes a fresh water aquarium, reading and writing area, pantry with refrigerator, microwave and hot tap for tea or coffee, and overlooks the café style brick patio with barbecue gas grill. Each morning a generous breakfast is served including a hot dish such as sunrise pancakes with vanilla cream syrup, breakfast meats, fresh baked muffins, Tom's home-made granola with vanilla yogurt, cereal, fruits, juices, gourmet coffee and teas.
