About the Inn
The Inn At The Shore is a Victorian-era bed and breakfast, built as Belmar, NJ’s original guest house in 1880. We are open year round, and offer 6 unique guest rooms to choose from for your stay at the New Jersey shore. With a friendly, laid-back vibe and all the comforts of home, you'll find it easy to relax and unwind here. Our common areas are spacious, with plenty of room for reading, card or board games, or just hanging out.
Great Room
The Great Room features a full-size billiards table, large flat-screen cable tv, dry bar, the Inn's original fieldstone fireplace, comfortable seating, and our Music Corner with a piano and guitar collection. Our game shelves are stocked with all your favorites, from Boggle, and Dominoes to Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Uno.
Dining Room
The Dining Room seats up to 20 guests, and is filled with antique furnishings and touches of history. Beautiful paintings and an extensive ornamental spoon collection adorn the walls. The Dining Room is available after breakfast for guests who want to order from one of the many great take-out places in Belmar, and can also be booked for a luncheon or dinner gathering with catering provided by The Inn.
Front Porch
The expansive wrap-around porch is a special place. From the rockers you can watch the world pass by, while you read, doze, or discuss the issues of the day. The big glider swing is a comfy place for lovers to cuddle, and there is also table seating if you'd like to have breakfast outside and enjoy the morning ocean breezes.
Patio
The private outdoor brickstone patio is surrounded by lush plants and greenery. It features outdoor seating with umbrella tables, and our firepit is a favorite place to hang and chill out on a cool Belmar night. The outdoor shower is always available after your day at the beach.
Guest Pantry
Available to guests 24/7, our Pantry is adjacent to the Dining Room and features a fresh water cooler, refrigerator/freezer, sink, and microwave oven (and Popcorn!). Coffee, hot chocolate, and a wide tea selection are always available. We provide bottle and wine openers, disposable cups, plates, napkins and dining utensils, and there's plenty of glassware to enjoy that nice bottle of wine on the Porch.
Gift Boutique
You'll find a unique selection of jewelry, art, keepsakes and beach-style outerwear in our Gift Boutique. Located on the second floor, we feature local authors in our book selection, and souvenirs, art, and jewelry created by local artists. We also offer cold drinks for the beach, clothing including hoodies, sweats, hats and t-shirts, and so much more.
Dining at the Inn
We're well-known for our breakfast, but The Inn At The Shore has so much more to offer. We make lunch, porch snacks, dinner, and late-night treats (with prior arrangement) for guests who are so relaxed they don't feel like leaving the place. The Inn also hosts private special events (Engagement/Rehearsal Dinners, Baby/Bridal Showers, Birthday and Anniversary Parties, Class and Family Reunions) and can provide complete catered meal service for up to 20 guests.

Owners Bill and Linda Neely live on site, and are always available to assist their guests in any way they can. With many years experience in the service and hospitality industry, Bill and Linda are uniquely qualified to take care of you, and provide a peaceful, distraction-free atmosphere for your stay.
Concierge/Transportation Services
Your Innkeepers are always ready to help you make your stay smooth and easy. They're happy to make restaurant reservations, spa appointments, tee times, or arrange transportation. If you're visiting The Inn At The Shore via NJ Transit, complimentary pick-up and drop-off rides to the Belmar Train Station are available on request.
We can also provide special deliveries to your guest room, anything from champagne and chocolates to a special card and flower bouquet. If you have an idea to make your stay more memorable, we are happy to help you make it happen.
